ABOUT HERMANOS
Literally translated in Spanish, “Hermanos” means “Brothers”. However, the term is also commonly used when one South American country refers tongue & cheek to another, as in a recent interview with the Brazilian national soccer team where they referred to their Argentinean rivals as “Hermanos”.
At Hermanos Restaurant and Wine Bar, we’re about showcasing some of the food, imagery, and styles found in South American dining, with our main courses inspired by the many Parillada’s or Steakhouses in Argentina & Uruguay. In addition to flavours from northern Brazil & Peru, our wine list is sourced exclusively from the vineyards of Chile & Argentina, not to leave out our signature cocktails: the Brazilian “Caipirinhia” and Chilean “Pisco Sour”.
Live music on the weekends and late night dining on Friday & Saturday add to the Hermanos experience that is always vibrant, warm, and exciting. Our three dining sections include a white linen dining room, a communal seating black top section, and our lounge – all share the same space and the same menu to create a welcoming and energetic dining experience. No matter your choice of dining style, we all share in energy and imagery of the entire group.
We at Hermanos continue to develop our influences with food and wine research (most recently in Uruguay – Home of the Chivito sandwich!) and we always look to Winnipeggers of South American descent to collaborate in our quest for the ultimate South American dining experience.
